Phytopthora mapping in the bush shown on this map is not yet complete.
Photographs & descriptions
A short track with quite a high density of dead grass trees.
Track 16 >>
Pristine grass-tree woodland slope with a Melaleuca squarrosa dominated wet-heath running across the bottom left. There is no evidence of dieback. However, a track has been cut through the grass-trees, and given the amount of mud carried by competitors in recent races, it will be interesting to see how long before dieback appears.
Track 17 >>
A short track passing through vegetation that includes an interesting amalgum of grass-tree woodland and wet forest (including tree ferns, ground ferns, and large blackwood trees with kangaroo fern epiphytes). Track builders were observed cutting directly through a dieback zone.
